The Marayah Care Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2025 Marayah Cares Foundation Scholarship.
As many are aware Marayah excelled in academics with a 4.26 GPA and was captain of her high school and club soccer team. We would like to honor Marayah by awarding students that have shown that same dedication to academics and/or sports.
Eligibility Rules:
- Student must be enrolled or show proof they will be enrolled in a four year college or junior college
- Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Candidates should follow us on social media to stay updated regarding the winner
Application Requirements:
To apply for the Marayah Cares Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must submit the following items on or before May 16, 2025:
- A completed scholarship application form. (See below)
- A 500-700 word typed essay – Those that knew Marayah, knew she was a very passionate person. She poured her heart into school, soccer and her relationships. In your essay please tell us how you feel the Marayah Cares Foundation furthers Marayah’s passions and tell us what you are passionate about and how you see those passions playing out in the next 5 years.
- A copy of your high school transcript.
Judging and Recognition Procedure:
Judging will be performed by the Directors/Board Members of the Marayah Cares Foundation. Many factors will be considered, including writing ability, academics, athletics/extra-curricular activities, personal passion, financial need, and representation for women and other minorities who are underrepresented.
Award and Recognition Procedure:
- The Marayah Cares Foundation Scholarship is a one-time, monetary scholarship award. The funds should be used for the following education-related expenses: tuition, room, board, books, and other school related expenses
- The scholarship award will be given to the winners directly
- If an awardee is unable to attend college for any reason, they must be able to provide documentation proving why they are unable to attend. The scholarship award will remain on hold for up to 6 months until they are able to provide proof of enrollment.
- If an awardee is unable to claim the monetary scholarship award within 6 months, the Foundation may award it to another candidate at its discretion.
- Candidates who are offered a scholarship must agree to the scholarship’s terms and conditions to receive the scholarship.
- The scholarship winner will be notified via email that they have been selected.
- Announcements regarding the winners of the scholarship will be posted to the Marayah Cares Foundation website and social media accounts.
- A casual reception may be held for the scholarship recipients. More information regarding this reception will be provided after the winners are announced.
Deadline to Apply:
Please submit all required information on or before May 16, 2025. The winner will be announced by May 26, 2025.
