Help transform lives of hard-working teens through education and athletics
Marayah was a competitive athlete playing soccer at the highest possible level in her hometown of Elk Grove, California. She was also a gifted student-athlete with a 4.26 GPA and dreams of attending college one day.
The Marayah Cares Foundation will provide athletic sponsorships to disadvantaged youth who wish to participate in a variety of competitive sports who may otherwise not be able to afford to do so. Marayah believed that education and sports go hand-in-hand. We want to encourage our youth to stay focused on education while building strong, lasting relationships through sports.

Provide Support for Families Enduring the Financial Struggles of Childhood Cancer Treatment
Marayah endured an almost two-year battle with cancer. We learned that even in situations where insurance or hospitals cover a great deal of the direct medical expenses, there are so many unforeseen costs that derive from the grueling, painful and long treatment plans the children with cancer endure. The Marayah Cares Foundation will offer assistance with travel, housing or household expenses to help allow parents to focus on the treatment, not the bills.

Protect and improve lives of neglected or abused animals
Marayah had a strong love for all animals, particularly dogs. In fact, it was her wish to adopt a three-legged dog upon her return to Sacramento. The Marayah Cares Foundation will join in supporting local and national animal rescue organizations through both volunteer efforts as well as financial aid.
