On September 30, 2022, we held our First Annual Golf Tournament, which was also the Foundation’s first ever fundraising effort.  To say it was a huge success is an understatement.  Thanks to the generosity of our many volunteers, our generous hole sponsors and all the crazy golfers, we were able to raise over $14,000.  The tournament was held at Lincoln Hills Golf Course in Lincoln, California and was sold out!  We even squeezed in a few extra players because of the overwhelming support we received.  The tournament had everything from a welcoming Mimosa and Muffins bar to start off the day, to a $10,000 putting contest and some hole-in-one contests. There was complimentary food from vendors like Cielo y Mar Mariscos serving up delicious shrimp dishes, Sirce’s Sweets with tempting desserts and let’s not forget the TRP Weiner Dude with their grilled hot links, hotdogs and brats.  All complimentary.  In addition to these tasty treats, golfers enjoyed the Bloody Mary hole, the Tequila Shot hole, the Jack Daniels hole and the Sangria hole. Complimentary beer, water and soda was also offered throughout the course.  We also had a photo booth hole for those who dared to commemorate their shenanigans.

The tournament was followed by a catered luncheon — included in the green fees —- under the big tent, as well as a raffle that included a big screen TV, golf foursomes and gift baskets.

Plans are already under way for our 2^nd Annual Golf Tournament at Lincoln Hills scheduled for Friday, September 22, 2023.  After the success of the 2022 tournament, foursomes will fill up fast!  Look for sign ups to begin in July 2023 and be sure to sign up early!  You don’t want to miss out on what was described by many golfers as an “off the hook” tournament!
